“2008 Breaking Boards For Breast Cancer” At Waterfire In Providence To Support The Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Foundation

In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Mastery Martial Arts will sponsor a fundraising event to “break boards” on October 11, 2008. Join a community of supporters at the Waterfire of Providence event to benefit people living with breast cancer.

Mr. Greg Horton, founder of Mastery Martial Arts will have his black belt instructors demonstrate the breaking of boards in rapid fire succession in the exhilarating celebration and symbolic ritual of empowering women to harness the fight. The broken boards will be placed in the Waterfire brassieres while you watch your special message and wishes become spiritually delivered through the tranquil burning of this special WaterFire of Providence celebration.

In a dramatic ending, over 300 torch bearers will unite and illuminate the Rhode Island state house in pink to show the dedication and strength in fighting for a cure.

Donations can be made by purchasing a board ($5.00) or a block of wood ($50.00), or a simple donation complimented by a personal message or wish for someone suffering from breast cancer. The funds raised will go to the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Foundation to support breast cancer awareness and generate funding for critical breast health programs.
