Just For Diabetics Website Offers Hope for Pre-diabetics, Type 2 diabetics, and the Overweight

Research shows that the best time to take action to reverse pre-diabetes and type 2 diabetes is when you are at the stage of managing these conditions.

Vancouver, BC, Canada, 2018-Nov-06 — /EPR HEALTHCARE NEWS/ — November is world diabetes month. When people are diagnosed type 2 diabetic, the first line of defense is the use of prescription drugs in order to manage the diabetes. But what victims of pre-diabetes and type 2 diabetes are not aware of is that research performed by Just For Diabetics website founder, Ernest Quansah, shows that when patients are managing their pre-diabetes or type 2 diabetes, it is the best opportunity for them to reverse it and be weaned off the prescription drugs. The research results are evidence based. Many doctors and institutions now agree that this is the case. Recently, the University of British Columbia, in conjunction with Pharmasave, a drugstore chain, began offering obese people and type 2 diabetics a diet plan aimed at reversal of pre-diabetes and type 2 diabetes. The cost of their plan is $500 a month. The diet plan calls for no consumption of refined sugar, potatoes, fruit, fruit juices, sweet drinks of any kind, rice, bread, and consumption of cooked vegetables for lunch, cooked chicken breast for dinner and so on. Many of the participants are seniors, the overweight, or obese. After several thousand of dollars spent, many participants lose weight and their doctors take them off their diabetes drugs.

Quansah’s program includes a specialized diabetes exercise regime along with vitamin therapy and a carefully designed tasty menu cycle. He himself completely reversed his severe case of type 2 diabetes after compiling this program, which was the culmination of thorough research. This research included the advice of several physicians. Quansah, founder of Just For Diabetics and the author of Diabetics Journey says: “For several years, I have been educating people about how type 2 diabetes and pre-diabetes can be reversed through the program offered on my website. Now we see that one of Canada’s finest Universities and a drug store chain are doing the same.”

The website, justfordiabetics.com offers a free weight-loss program, a free diabetes reversal program, as well as an inexpensive paid program. The extensive program includes a full menu regime, exercise videos, tutorials, in addition to a cooking video demonstration, all for less than $180. Quansah wisely suggests that those on the program be monitored by their doctors.

Quansah’s research and findings have been published in the WebMD Diabetes magazine in the article “Secret recipe: How a Chef Cured His Type 2 Diabetes”, as well as on the WebMD website. There is hope for reversing pre-diabetes, type 2 diabetes (the type that does not require insulin injections,) and for overcoming being overweight.

“Misinformation about type 2 diabetes is rampant. For diabetics to heal, they need a complete change of attitude and way of thinking. This means, they should not just accept managing their condition, but rather, understand that they can be healed. Further, complacency about pre-diabetes leads to full-blown diabetes, which can lead to heart disease, blindness, liver failure, impotence, limb amputations and early death,” cautions Quansah.

Quansah has been asked to be guest speaker at the Diabetes and Healthcare Conference being held in Helsinki, Norway, in November 2018 and to be keynote speaker at the Diabetes Care Conference being held in Malaysia in May of 2019. His speech topic will include how to help diabetics heal and resultantly reduce healthcare costs.

How Type 2 Diabetes Can Be Cured

VANCOUVER, B.C., May-31-2018 — /EPR Healthcare News/ —  The mission of the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) is to promote diabetes care and cure worldwide. Type 2 diabetes, once thought only to afflict African descends, other minorities, and the less educated, is now an ignored pandemic afflicting over 450 million people from diverse academic backgrounds and races, worldwide. Health Department budgets allocated for managing diabetes in developed nations each year is staggering; far exceeding the GDP of most other countries. In a new book titled Diabetic’s Journey, diabetes survivor and expert, Ernest Quansah, demystifies how type 2 diabetes can be cured.

In his book, Quansah chronicles circumstances that led him to crave and heavily indulge in sugar, one day awaking to find a sticky, whitish substance in the corners of his eyes and on his tongue. Upon reviewing Quansah’s blood tests, his doctor used these words: “Do you know the danger you have put yourself in? You are not far from going into cardiac arrest. The whitish substance is sugar build-up in your body trying to find a way out.”

Quansah’s research uncovered two lifesaving pieces of information:

  1. Type 2 diabetes is caused by consumption of refined sugar; a fact confirmed by Dr. Sanjay Basu, Ph.D., of Stanford University.
  1. Natalia McInnes of McMaster University, type 2 diabetes cure researcher, stated that type 2 diabetes can be reversed  and cured in four months.

Said Quansah, “My doctor supported Dr. McInnes’s findings when he said to me: ‘Type 2 diabetes is cured using several approaches all working together. The diabetes is cured if it does return two years after reversal.’ Reversing type 2 diabetes costs less than $200.00 per diabetic, a fraction of what is spent each year managing diabetes for the rest of one’s life. This is not taking into account the added cost of the onset of other diseases resulting from the diabetes. Best of all, the victim’s life will be saved when he or she is cured. One becomes type 2 diabetic when sugar builds up in the body and converts into fat. Some of the fat finds its way into the bloodstream. It coats red blood cells preventing them from absorbing sugar and transporting it to the muscles to be used as energy. The pancreas still works; however, the insulin it secretes is not able to transport the excess sugar. The excess sugar buildup causes heart disease, kidney failure, nerve damage, blindness, etc.: Diabetes simply forecasts these pending diseases. The solution is simple. To reverse type 2 diabetes, the sugar buildup in the body and the fat coating the cells must be expelled, allowing for normal cell function.”

Quansah developed:

  1. A customized weight-reducing menu cycle
  2. A customized fat and sugar burning exercise routine
  3. A vitamin/supplement regime to protect the heart

When asked about his own response to his program, Quansah said, “Within a month of applying the above factors, my energy level surged. My doctor ordered another blood glucose test. ‘Look at your test results,’ Dr. Robinson said. ‘Congratulations. You are no longer a diabetic.’ My life was saved. I told him that I must write a book to help other diabetics. He replied, ‘that’s an excellent idea.’”

Quansah’s book, Diabetic’s Journey, is endorsed by a professor of diabetology and medicine. Reviewers gave his book a rating of 8.8/10.

Proof that type 2 diabetes can be reversed: WebMD, the leading healthcare information provider to doctors and consumers, interviewed Quansah and published an article about his diabetes cure methodology in WebMD Diabetes Fall 2016 issue, page 19, and on their website. The article was titled, Secret recipe: How a Chef Cured His Type 2 Diabetes . Additionally, Clyto Access contacted him to produce a video presentation on How Type 2 Diabetes Can be Cured to be presented at the International Diabetes and Degenerative Disease conference. His paper titled, The Case Against Managing Type 2 Diabetes is posted on Academia.edu and has been viewed and downloaded by researchers worldwide.

Quansah’s book’s subtitle, How Type 2 Diabetes Can be Reversed and Cured, amplifies what doctors say. Quansah says, “The mission of the Just for Diabetics website is to promote diabetes care and cure by offering pre-diabetics and type 2 diabetics the tools to reverse and cure themselves. Proceeds provide funding to humanitarian efforts and for developing products for diabetics.”

A Bold Move: 79-year old champion bodybuilder competes against 40-, 50-, 60-year olds!

Amador County, CA, May 08, 2015 — /EPR HEALTHCARE NEWS/ — A career spanning nearly 50 years isn’t over yet for Amador County veteran bodybuilder and one of the original Mr. Venice Beach competitors, Arthur Peacock. Peacock, who is turning 80 this year, takes the stage with 40-, 50-, and 60-year olds this Saturday, May 9 at the Contra Costa Bodybuilding Championship, to be held in the Chabot College Performing Arts Theatre.

“There is no doubt that this is a career turning point for me. It’s what I’ve been training for my entire life, but especially the last three years. I’ll have 60-seconds to prove myself—my physique and my poses—with competitors between 40 and 69. That’s potentially almost 40 years younger than me.”

Peacock chose to compete in three classes for a couple of reasons—no 70s bracket existed, and he has every intention of continuing his legacy to inspire others who want to follow their bodybuilding dreams.

“I want people to see me and say, ‘I can do that. Look at that guy up there at 80.’ I want to inspire to the end; I’ve done it all my life. I’ve had world champions come up to me and say, ‘I remember when you stopped and spoke to me as a teenager, and now, 20 years later, I’m the number one guy. Thank you.’”

It was in 1965, as an already athletic young man in his early 30s, an avid swimmer, surfer cyclist, and hiker, that Peacock went as a spectator with his friends to his first bodybuilding competition. “I knew I wanted to do that—that I could do that.” And that he did, taking home his first trophy in the 1968 Mr. Venice Beach competition, which gave rise to a half-century career with more than 50 major titles earned.

Garcinia Cambogia Select – The Best Weight Loss Supplement Now Available Online with 50% Discount Offer + 3 Free Premium Bonuses

Garcinia Cambogia is brand new natural weight loss method recently discovered and proved as best fat buster supplement. Doctors featured this new method as most exciting breakthrough in weight loss. Garcinia Cambogia, is a fruit commonly grows in south Asia. This fruit has been used for different health purposes for several years. This made Doctors and other health researchers to waste their efforts and reveal the health beneficial properties of this natural product. It has been long recommending different natural alternatives for weight loss. Recently “The Oz show” Dr. Julie Chen discussed about the weight loss properties of the dual action formula Garcinia Cambogia.

Visit Garcinia Cambogia Official Website & Start Burning Extra Fat Today

Irregular eating habits may cause lots of health problems, one common problem is obesity. Every 8 out of 10 people get unwanted increase in body weight due to overeating. Health specialists have linked the overeating habit with some psychological issues. People in bad mood commonly eat more. This occurs due to the low level of serotonin, which is a hormone responsible for mood swings. Food is one way to trigger the release of serotonin and enhance the mood, but this emotional overeating leads to obesity. Researchers have been working to find out the weight loss properties of natural products. They found that Garcinia Cambogia triggers the release of serotonin, enhances the mood and keeps emotional over eaters away from consuming more food.

Dr. Julie Chen explained the way Garcinia Cambogia Extracts works. The dual action formula fights against the fat by blocking the fat cells formation and suppressing the bad appetite for food. HCA (Hydroxycitric acid) is the compound which makes this natural product highly effective against excess fat. As the main ingredient of Garcinia Cambogia, HCA changes the way liver converts sugar into fat. It makes the liver convert sugar directly into energy rather than converting it into fat. In this way, it blocks the fat formation process in the body. The excess fat stored in the
body is burned effectively by supercharging the metabolic activity. By suppressing appetite, it eliminates all bad food cravings and develops a healthy eating habit.

New Research Shows Camu Camu Superfruit Improves Obesity Biomarkers

An. Acad. Bras.Cienc. confirmed that Camu-camu was able to improve the biochemical markers of obesity in rats.

Amazonian Camu-camu fruit (Myrciaria dubia) has attracted interest from food and cosmetics industries because of its rich content of vitamin C, flavonoids and anthocyanins. The goal of the study was to investigate the anti-obesity action of the ingestion of Camu-camu pulp in a rat model of diet-induced obesity – using Wistar rats with obesity induced by receiving diet ad libitum.

The rats were divided in two groups: an experimental group that ingested 25 mL/day of Camu-camu pulp (CCG) and a non-treated group (CG). After 12 weeks, the animals were tested. Blood, liver, heart, white adipose tissues were collected and weighed; biochemical and inflammatory profiles were examined as well.

Animals that received the pulp of Camu-camu had reduced fat in white adipose tissues and improved biochemical profiles of obesity including glucose, total cholesterol, triglycerides, LDL-c and insulin blood levels. There was also an increase in beneficial HDL-c levels. The research suggests there may be potential use for Camu-camu in the control of obesity and as a functional food.

According to Matakana SuperFoods founder Dr Kevin Glucina the link to obesity came as a surprise to him. “We originally introduced Camu Camu to our product range because it is nature’s number one source of vitamin C complex. We had no idea it had potential to influence other biomarkers associated with obesity. This new research is based on a rodent model so now we need to see a follow-up human trial. Clinical research revealing the benefits of SuperFoods is accelerating as public interest grows about which foods provide the best naturally integrated nutrients for health.

There is a large movement away from formulated vitamin supplements and toward Superfoods and wholefoods in general. If people realise they can get their family’s daily vitamin C requirements by adding a natural superfruit powder like Camu Camu to their daily smoothie, why would they choose to buy a synthetic vitamin C tablet that has been produced in China from corn starch? Sure, they both have vitamin C but the wholefood Camu Camu also contains a complex of co-factors, vitamins, minerals and health-supporting phytonutrients that are put together by nature to give you much more bang for your buck. Not only has our digestive system evolved with wholefoods, there are also many complex mechanisms in play in wholefoods. Camu Camu has approximately 120 different phytochemicals; just how all those phytochemicals interact for our benefit is a hot topic in scientific research. It is the synergistic interaction of the different compounds in Superfoods which may be responsible for throwing up surprising benefits like those seen in this study into Camu Camu and obesity. These complex natural substances and interactions from wholefoods and Superfoods just can’t be duplicated by chemists at this time.Personally, the only vitamin supplement I take is vitamin D3 in winter. For the rest, in most cases, I think we can get far better quality from good quality wholefood and Superfoods.

The results of the Camu Camu study are very exciting and certainly support the high amount of interest in this new superfruit. The key thing I am taking away from this research is the influence that Camu Camu had on all the obesity biomarkers like blood-sugar levels and cholesterol. Sure, the rats lost weight, but more importantly, all the biomarkers became more healthy and that’s what’s important. I am always skeptical about claims made for one food as a cure-all for weight loss. In my opinion, even though the research looks promising, you can’t just rely on one magic food like Camu Camu to save you from the obesity epidemic. Lifestyle changes, the timing of diet and exercise are the most important factors when it comes to obesity; combine that with key super-nutrients and you are heading in the right direction.

We have done a lot of work on obesity and Superfoods at Matakana – we already have a new low calorie, high-nutrient Super Shake formula with Camu Camu and other key Superfoods like chia seeds, sacha inchi protein powder, red raspberry, goji and maqui berry freeze-dried powders incorporated into it. The Super Shake is naturally sweetened with low G.I pure coconut sugar, and the delicious flavor is enhanced with pure freeze-dried blueberry, banana juice and mango powders. The Super Shake can be taken as a once-per-day meal replacement to aid weight managment or as a post-workout recharge and is a great way for families to get a wide range of natural super-nutrients for improved general health. It is a viable safe alternative to synthetic vitamins for the whole family and all the ingredients are naturally gluten, dairy, preservative, coloring and GMO free.”

Camu Camu can be purchased from Matakana SuperFoods in bulk powder or capsule form and is also incorporated into the Matakana SuperFoods “Top 10 SuperFoods Super Shake”.

Using Psychology to Lose Weight – Because Dieting and Exercise Alone Don’t Work

MariasLastDiet.com, the website for women who want to lose weight, issued a  white paper today about using psychology to lose weight. The author, Kenneth Schwarz PhD, a psychologist and psychoanalyst and co-founder of MariasLastDiet.com, wrote the paper because of the continuing high rate of weight-loss failure with the current standard formula, Diet + Exercise = Weight Loss.

Dr. Schwarz argues the case for using psychology to lose weight by amending the formula to read, Weight Loss = Dieting + Exercise + Using Psychology, where using psychology is really two factors, adherence and personal change.

Adherence, which research shows is the single-best determiner of weight loss, is sticking to it—the diet or weight-loss program. Adherence is not only sticking to your food plan, though, it is also sticking to what will help you make the necessary personal changes.

Losing weight, especially for women, is never just about the food. It is always about a woman’s psychology as well. Personal change has to do with altering old patterns of behavior and replacing these patterns with new behaviors that are more conducive to successful weight loss.

Dieting and weight loss as they are currently practiced require a lot of self-control and willpower. The use of so much willpower and self-control makes the weight-loss process terribly arduous and ripe for failure. To address this, Dr. Schwarz added another goal to the primary goal of losing unwanted weight, that of using the least possible amount of self-control and willpower to effect change.

Once the goal of making the weight-loss process much less dependent on willpower and self-control is set, what remains is to show how to implement this goal. Dr. Schwarz takes traditional weight-loss issues and, using the principles and practices of psychology, illustrates how to successfully resolve these issues more automatically, and without the need for such self-defeating effort.

BootsWebMD.com launches Baby Personality Quiz

BootsWebMD.com has launched a new, online Baby Personality Quiz which highlights several key traits to look out for when analysing a baby’s temperament.

With the help of the Baby Personality Quiz* on the BootsWebMD.com Children and Parenting Health Centre, users can identify their baby’s personality by answering a series of simple questions about their behaviour. The results of the quiz can then be analysed to identify their behaviour patterns. Essential information about the best approach in managing a child’s behaviour habits can also be found, with a simple step-by-step guide to keeping in sync with the baby. It could even help users to work in tandem with their child’s temperament and personality to make life easier for both parent and child.

Whether the child is feisty or easy-going, the answer to identifying its personality and behaviour patterns lies in a number of key areas. According to paediatrician Dr William Carey, author of ‘Understanding Your Child’s Temperament’, these include:

Activity/energy level – if the child has high or low energy levels, parents need to look for ways to keep them moving at a pace that’s comfortable for them Approach to newness – a naturally hesitant or shy baby will need extra reassurance and patience to overcome their shyness.

Intensity – if a baby is laid back, they can get lost in the shuffle of family life and vice versa. If the baby is intense they must be taught to deal with the curves of life

Sensitivity – if a baby has high sensitivity to lights, noise or texture, parents must be patient and look for ways to avoid sensory overload such as the lighting and the type of clothes the baby wears.

Regularity – if everything is unpredictable, potty, naps, moods, parents have to let go of their controlling ways and loosen up. Conversely, if a baby likes structure, parents might have to adhere to the schedule they crave

Persistence – puzzles are great tools to lengthen attention span, along with a daily dose of bedtime reading.

Overall mood – parents should take the time to observe their baby’s daily patterns and what makes them smile for a happier baby.

Using Psychology to Lose Weight

Dr. Kenneth Schwarz, co-author of the series, Weight-Loss Books for Women — Using Psychology to Lose Weight, will appear on The Mary Jones Show on Monday, August 20, 2012. The show is from noon to 2 p.m., and can be heard on WDRC-AM 1360 Hartford, WSNG-AM 610 Torrington, WMMW-AM 1470 Meriden, and WWCO-AM 1240 Waterbury.

Dr. Schwarz will be interviewed by Mary Jones about the 7 self-help, how-to books that he wrote with his wife, the writer Julie North Schwarz. The books are all about using psychology to lose weight. This  Symmetry Press series of books shows that psychology is what is missing from the usual formula, weight loss = dieting + exercise. The missing psychology, according to Dr. Schwarz, has to do with adherence and personal change. In other words, if you don’t stick to it, it won’t work; and in order to accomplish permanent weight loss, you have to change your old ways and develop new ways.

The Using Psychology to Lose Weight series illustrates how to use psychology to lose weight by taking traditional weight-loss issues and showing women how to use psychology to maneuver through them.

The first book in the series is a novel of passionate weight loss. It is called Breaking Up With Food: Maria’s Last Diet. It delivers its self-help by taking the reader deep into a woman’s psychology.

The 3-volumes of Psych Your Diet: A Daily Dose are handy advice manuals to use for each phase of the weight-loss process. They show a woman how to make the personal changes needed for each weight-loss phase.

Volume 1. Psych Yourself to Start supplies what you need to get going—inspiration, understanding, and how-to’s.

Volume 2. Psych Yourself to Stick to It gives you ideas, strategies, encouragement, and more so you can do what it takes to adhere to your weight-loss regimen—all the way to goal.

Volume 3. Psych Yourself to Keep It Off helps you see what you have to do to maintain your lost weight, and it explains how to go about doing it.

Stop Your Emotional Eating lays the groundwork for seeing emotional eating for what it is. It gives a compendium of emotional eating ideas, ways to think more fully and clearly about emotional eating. Stop Your Emotional Eating, of course, also tells how to stop your emotional eating, with strategies to use for all the different aspects of emotional eating.

To solve the problems that wreck a woman’s weight-loss attempts, there is Diet Tuffy: The Fun Way to Seriously Lose Weight. This workbook helps you target your toughest dieting and weight loss problem, come up with a brand new solution, and make an ingenious plan to put the new solution into action. With Diet Tuffy, a woman can square off against lack of willpower, low self-confidence, feeling deprived, too much stress, and any other weight-loss foe.

The most recent book in the series is How to Break the First Big Rule of Women Who Stay Fat. This book is a personal guide to breaking one of the rules in a woman’s life that has been working to keep her fat. With the help of the strategies in this book a woman will be able to break the first big rule and handle those moments when she feels all her power slip away and she plunges right into food.

Dr. Schwarz will be available after his interview on The Mary Jones Show to answer questions at hi@mariaslastdiet.com. More on using psychology to lose weight can be found on Dr. Schwarz’s blogsite  www.mariaslastdiet.com.

Just take a look at the statistics — 62% of women in the U.S. age 20 to 74 are overweight or obese. But on any given day 45% of women in the U.S. are trying to lose weight. Real weight-loss isn’t happening.

Using psychology to lose weight means getting yourself to do what it takes to lose your unwanted weight: Getting yourself to START, STICK TO IT, and then KEEP IT OFF for good. Using psychology to lose weight involves solving problems too. You’ve got to solve those problems that prevent you from losing weight — not enough willpower, hard-to-break habits, emotional eating, and any other personal weight-loss spoiler.

Dr. Kenneth Schwarz, speaking on behalf of Symmetry Press said: “Self-help isn’t really self-help unless someone else is also helping you. We’d like to be that someone.”

The Symmetry Press series, Weight-Loss Books for Women ~ Using Psychology to Lose Weight ~ is available in print and in e-book from online retailers like Amazon, Apple, Barnes & Noble, and others, and at your local bookstore.

Smoking, Obesity And Lack Of Activity Named As Global Killers

Research published in leading medical journal The Lancet suggests that a lack of exercise can be as big a killer as obesity and smoking.

According to the study, approximately one third of adults do not do a healthy amount of exercise, and it is suggested that this could be causing 5.3 million deaths worldwide each year – the equivalent of one in ten deaths – from related illnesses such as breast cancer, diabetes and heart disease.

Nutritionist Caron Leckie, who works for the UK’s largest provider of chef prepared meals and delivered diets, Diet Chef, comments: “In my experience the weather has a big impact on activity levels, certainly in the UK, and many people use it as an excuse to stay indoors and watch television, rather than getting out and about.

“In addition to this, thousands of our customers have jobs which see them sitting down at a desk for up to nine hours each day. It is logical that this sedentary lifestyle can be conducive to obesity.”

Ms Leckie also added that Diet Chef is “working hard to help people to lose weight with our calorie-controlled diet” and that as a company they are also “working closely with a personal trainer to offer advice and tips on how to move more, no matter what your age, weight or health status.”

It is recommended that adults should do a minimum of 150 minutes of moderate exercise each week, this equates to just over 20 minutes per day.

According to a report by the BBC, “researchers said the problem was now so bad it should be treated as a pandemic”.

Ms Leckie’s top tips for motivation to exercise include:
1. Add An Activity
2. Try Something Different
3. Find a Positive Each Week
4. Take up a Hobby

1 800-GET-THIN Says New “Whistle Blower” Lawsuit A Fantasy And Sham

1 800 GET THIN has called a lawsuit filed against it a fantasy and lacking in credibility. The lawsuit, Meyle v. 1 800 GET THIN, was filed in LA Superior Court (BC486169) on Thursday, and charges that San Diego Ambulatory Surgery Center failed to properly sterilize its instruments on December 30 and 31 of 2011. However, Konrad Trope, the attorney for the surgery enter, said that Jessica Meyle, the plaintiff, sent an email on January 5, 2012 which acknowledged the instruments were, in fact, properly sterilized. The email from Jessica Meyle said: “…it [the sterilizer] passed!!!!:):):) Mejid is looking at the autoclave now. He says the problem may have been that we removed the Bowie Dicks too quickly. He recommends to crack the door & leave the tests in the autoclave for 20 minutes. Thank you, Jessica”.

Trope stated “this email conclusively proves that the plaintiffs filed a false claim with the court knowing full well that the sterilizer worked.” Trope added that “it is improper that the plaintiffs’ attorneys Alexander Robertson and John Walker filed this lawsuit without doing an appropriate investigation of this false allegation as required by law.”

Trope further stated that “the plaintiffs and their attorneys are looking for a fast buck with false allegations.”

1 800 GET THIN is a marketing firm and does not perform medical procedures. The plaintiffs’ attorneys Robertson and Walker recently dismissed 1 800 GET THIN from their prior “whistleblower” lawsuit. 1 800 GET THIN will challenge this lawsuit as well. Trope added that “the plaintiffs and their attorneys have gone ahead and filed false claims which will inevitably result in their suit being dismissed with the strong likelihood that they will face a lawsuit for malicious prosecution.”

Trope has challenged the plaintiffs to explain the contradiction between their claims, the emails, and the written records. The record of quality medical care and safety in San Diego Ambulatory Surgery Center is excellent.

Trope says he is deeply concerned about Jessica Meyle’s criminal history and credibility. “She has a conviction for Retail Theft in Pennsylvania in the case of Commonwealth v. Jessica Gordon (her maiden name), in case number CP-23-CR-0007812-2006.”

BootsWebMD.com Reveals New Research Into Brits’ Summer Fitness Regimes

BootsWebMD.com has revealed new research showing that Brits are going for gold as they gear up for a summer of sport. However, the research also showed that many are sustaining unnecessary workout-related injuries.

Over half of survey respondents (53%) said they have started a new fitness regime in 2012, with the main motivation among those who have done so being to keep fit rather than lose weight.

Their good intentions are making them feel less stressed (44%) and more confident (31%), yet nearly one in five (16%) has sustained an injury. As well as bruises, the most common injuries are ankle or wrist sprains (26%), shin splints (23%), pulling a muscle (23%) and hamstring injuries (19%).

Over one third (39%) from the survey of 2,000 people who said they have started a new fitness routine in 2012 look online for fitness information. In fact, among the top ten search terms on BootsWebMD.com’s fitness centre are ‘hamstrings’ and ‘shin splints’, reflecting the common injuries identified in the research.

Richard Callender, fitness instructor and TV trainer from ITV’s ‘The Biggest Loser’, said: “It’s really encouraging to see so many people getting more active in 2012. Everyone has different motivations for exercising, whether it’s to keep fit, lose weight, de-stress or just to have fun and socialise with friends and family, but it’s vital they all know how to exercise safely.”

The research shows that for people to continue this positive step, stay healthy and prepare for a summer of sport, they need to be taking greater care when exercising. Over a quarter (27%) of people surveyed admit they do not feel confident they are exercising in a correct and safe way/ Reasons for injury include not following instructions properly (28%), exercising too strenuously (34%) or not being offered proper inductions (23%). A third (33%) of the injuries has led to a long-term health problem.

Dr Rob Hicks, GP and BootsWebMD.com contributor, said: “Exercising is one of the best ways for people to stay fit and healthy, and it’s important that people look after themselves and follow the correct instructions when they exercise and know what level of exercise they should be adopting. There are both short and long-term health consequences of not exercising safely and people should ensure they feel comfortable with what they are doing before they start.”

Further findings from the research showed that more women (54%) than men (52%) have taken up a new fitness routine in 2012. The age group most likely to have started a fitness routine this year is those between 18-24 (64%).
