Following recent reports on the increase in men opting for beauty treatments, The Harley Medical Group reveal that the trend is being reflected at their Birmingham clinic, where it is Asian men opting for laser hair removal, that are making up most of the bookings.

Bookings at The Harley Medical Group’s Birmingham Clinic show that it is most commonly Asian patients looking for alternative hair removal for their face and body. Asian hair is typically darker and thicker than Caucasian or Afro Caribbean hair and grows at the quickest speed of 1.3 cm a month. Therefore laser hair removal is the ideal solution for permanent hair reduction.

Although there is an increase in men looking into Laser Hair Removal, the clinic also sees many darker haired women book in for treatment as a result of feeling self-conscious about excess hair especially on areas such as the face and arms.
