Suicidal Drug Addicted Mother Gets Her Life Back

One September day, a mother rejected by her husband and torn apart from her children, laid waste perhaps on an unknown cold bathroom floor somewhere in Canada. She seriously considers ending it all, putting a permanent stop to the pain.

Not an usual business day for Drug Addiction counsellor Fraser Cooke as he returns a phone call getting on the other end this desperate mother crying for help. A magic phrase perhaps, or more so a regular common sense question asked by one who care:

“Do you want your life back?”

A lengthy conversation ensued between a desperate mother and this new voice that cared enough. “As I myself am a recovered addict it is my strict belief that if I don’t put my life’s experience to work in an effort to benefit those still fighting with addiction then there truly was no purpose in getting clean,” said Fraser.

To assist drug addicts, Addiction Enders issued a general Suicide prevention message on their website:

“Suicide is a situation that hurts every one involved. Suicide is an especially grievous situation when an addict or alcoholic takes his or her own life in spite of the fact there are thousands of programs available to end the root problem, which is addiction. Addiction Enders is aware of the fact that only a small number of the overall population is suicidal but comparatively speaking, that number is dramatically increased when only looking at the Alcoholics and Addicts of the world. If you are feeling suicidal please read on. We care”

Addiction Ender s has done extensive research into all aspects of traditional and modern drug and alcohol addiction treatment . They make it their job to share their knowledge with whomever will listen and benefit from it. Their goal is to help those struggling with addiction to seek out and obtain the treatment they require to live healthy, successful, and productive lives.

On that dark day in September, one call made a difference for children who now have their mother back.
