iTech Releases SaaS Based expEDIum Medical Billing Solution v1.0

iTech Workshop Private Limited (iTech), a Healthcare IT Solutions Company with special focus on Medical Billing, HIPAA, X12N, Direct Payer Connectivity, Electronic Claim Life Cycle, Revenue Cycle Management Products and Solutions for the US healthcare domain, announces release of expEDIum Medical Billing Solution v1.0 in a subscription (SaaS) model.

Some of the key features include:

• Built in “online validation” of claims rather than waiting for 24 or more hours waiting for claims to be validated.

• Denial Management including increased payment due to secondary insurance visibility [In one case with 7 doctors with 900 claims that were eligible for secondary payments were not processed earlier as the information was not visible on the legacy system and customer lost revenue of about $45,000 in one year].

• Built in direct payer / CH connectivity providing seamless uploading of electronic claims and downloading of remittance advices and other reports. This reduces hours spent by billing administrators daily.

• “Provider direct” feature where providers can get to watch the status of their claims and look at analytics using a configurable dashboard using a secure logon.

• Increased claim life cycle visibility.

• Automated ERA processing reducing EOB data entry time.

• Built-in patient statements and collection agency reports features.

• EMR Integration – Secure and seamless connectivity from any existing web based or client-server EMR solution to our hosted billing solution.

• This platform price rolled into a single monthly subscription; no hardware/software or IT support costs and no capital expenditure. The pricing is for “all” available features without any “add-on” pricing for additional features (as in other equivalent products).

We have seen the solution providing over 50% more billing productivity compared to legacy systems due to more efficient processes and features. We have seen the average payment cycle time through this solution to be about 11 days compared to legacy system’s 24 days (our median of 9 days vs legacy’s 14 days, our 80 percentile of 15 days vs legacy’s 27 days).

The solution can be hosted securely on a SaaS (Software as a Subscription) model over the Internet or the Intranet for a monthly subscription. The solution is available in a “mega-tenant” model and shall be available on a retail “multi-tenant” model in the future. Our solution shall provide support for ICD-10 and HIPAA v5010 seamlessly in the future. A list of features is available at http://www.itechws.com/medicalbilling.html and demos can be requested through our website.

Dieting Gets a Makeover

It is time to shine a light on what makes the difference for successful dieting. It is not the diet that matters most. What really counts is paying attention to the psychological side of things.

The new look of dieting is painted into a novel of passionate weight loss called Breaking Up With Food: Maria’s Last Diet. The authors, Julie North Schwarz and Kenneth Schwarz PhD are also the creators of the women’s website, MariasLastDiet.com. The website is a wealth of information about the psychological issues that all too often stand in the way of weight loss.

Breaking Up With Food is a self-help book that pulls the reader deep into a psychological milieu. Maria’s weight-loss journey is a story of suspense, mystery, daring, and victory. It begins with an unintended look in the mirror, and ends in triumph when Maria reaches her goal weight at last.

Breaking Up With Food is fiction, but there’s a real story behind it. It’s a story for any woman who has trouble dieting. It’s for those who can’t stay on a diet; it’s for those who stay on but at some point gain it all back. It’s for those who keep trying and failing; it’s for those who keep dreaming about losing weight; it’s for those who have given up the dream and want it back.

Dr. Schwarz, a psychologist and psychoanalyst, puts it this way: “ This book is meant to inspire and encourage every woman who is still struggling with her weight. It is not, by any means, a rigid set of rules. Instead, reading the book is an uplifting experience. It’s like when you pick a flower, you don’t need to stop and think, this is the stamen, these are the petals, this is the reaction with the sun that makes it this color—no. You pick the flower, it’s beautiful, it gets inside of you, it makes a difference in your life. That’s what Maria’s story is like.”

The Harley Medical Group Reports World Cup Widows Plump For Jabs

The Harley Medical Group is reporting that as the 2010 World Cup kicks off, many of its 29 UK clinics will be at ‘full capacity’ with non-surgical treatment bookings up 25% on the England match dates.

While many male footie fanatics have scheduled time off work to watch the first round of games in June, women across the country are making the most of the free time and booking rejuvenating peels and wrinkle relaxing injectables.

Keen to not to have any distractions this summer men are openly encouraging girlfriends and wives to spend more ‘me’ time, with pampering sessions and girls-only days out.

Liz Dale, Director, The Harley Medical Group, commented, “During the World Cup four years ago, we noticed a peak in female dominated treatments. This year the trend continues with enquiries for June up 48% compared to this time in 2006, which reflects the cumulative growth we’ve seen in non-surgical treatments overall. Women know they won’t be getting much attention from their husband or boyfriend while the football is on so this is the perfect feel-good factor treat.”

“Unsurprisingly we’re also expecting cosmetic surgery bookings for men to be down slightly – around 10% – in June for the first time in 20 months.”

Innovator of High Performance Lab Coats and Medical Apparel Introduces Clinician Scrubs in Black

Medelita®, maker of breakthrough performance men’s and women’s lab coats, is pleased to announce that its revolutionary female clinician scrubs are now available in black. With the addition of black scrub pants and scrub tops, Medelita offers six colors of women’s scrubs: navy, café, iris, leaf and pool. “Black was a color that had long been requested by our customers, and we are excited to introduce our clinician scrubs in black, to satisfy the demand,” said Lara Manchik, PA-C and founder of Medelita. “Medelita scrubs are a new paradigm for female clinicians, who, not long ago, were limited to wearing boxy, ill-fitting unisex scrubs. The fact that our scrubs are available in a range of colors and in traditional women’s sizing – it’s no wonder clinicians have embraced them so enthusiastically.”

Medelita women’s clinician scrub tops redefine medical scrubs. Gone is the boxy, shapeless decades-old unisex scrub set. Medelita women’s scrubs have managed to achieve the standard look of traditional unisex scrubs while incorporating innovative design features such as darting at the bust, tapering at the waist and hips and tailored sleeves in the scrub top. The clinician scrub pants feature subtle, slimming bootleg, contoured rise front to back, and flattering seam placement.

Impeccably hand sewn in the USA, Medelita’s tailored scrubs are made with a brushed, cotton and polyester blend (85 percent polyester/15 percent cotton) drirelease® FreshGuard fabric that keeps its wearer dry, comfortable and free of odors. These fabric treatments enable the scrubs to resist piling and fading. Nature’s Best Encourage Us To Get In Shake!

Nature’s Best, one of the UK’s leading direct suppliers of quality health products and vitamin supplements, have released a new Strawberry Protein Shake just in time for the summer season, and it is being hailed as their tastiest yet.

Nature's Best Encourage Us To Get In Shake!

Research shows that adults lost between 0.5 and 2% of their muscle each year once they reach the age of 40. Therefore, it is essential that you include enough muscle-boosting protein in your diet as you get older. The problem is however many over 50’s do not get their recommended daily allowance of protein. Combine this with the fact muscle deterioration coincides with less frequent exercise and a serious problem could be arising.

In response, Nature’s Best has launched a NEW Strawberry Protein Shake, an easy-to-mix power drink containing 19g of high quality whey protein per sachet.

As we grow older, it is increasingly difficult to ensure enough protein is in our diets, due to a number of factors, such as the cost of protein-rich foods (meat and fish), a decline in appetite, a decrease in the ability to absorb nutrients, a change in taste preference, as well as difficulty with chewing. A protein supplement is an easy way to ensure that these advised quantities are effectively met.

The shakes are Nature’s Best most delicious yet, flavoured with real strawberries and are gluten-free, preservative-free, aspartame-free and can be consumed cold or warm, with water or with milk. Whey is one of the highest quality proteins available and contains significant amounts of all important amino acids. Whey also has a high-absorption rate and is easy to digest.

Miami Cosmetic Dentist Explains Sedation Dentistry

Nearly 30% of Americans are afraid of visiting the dentist and even will put up with pain or discomfort to avoid dental visits. However, for those people, there is another way:sedation dentistry. It can also be called oral sedation dentistry, anxiety-free dentistry, and relaxation dentistry.

Miami Cosmetic Dentist Explains Sedation Dentistry

Available for both general and cosmetic dentistry, sedation dentistry can be used for procedures from simple cleanings and root canals to complete smile makeovers. At a dental visit you and your dentist will agree on the needed treatment. The dentist will give you a prescription for a drug such as Valium, Ativan, or Sonata.

“Most of the drugs have been available for years and all are safe to use,” says one of Miami’s best sedation dentists, Dr. Kenneth Anenberg, cosmetic dentist from Smile South Florida. “Some of the prescriptions last longer than others, so the amount of time necessary for your treatment will help determine what kind of medicine you will receive. Be sure to tell the dentist about other drugs you are taking and details of your medical condition.”

The day of the procedure, you will take your medicine before the appointment – how far in advance will be determined by how long your treatment will take. You will need a companion to drive you to and from your appointment. When the dentist starts the procedure, you will feel relaxed and, possibly, drowsy, points out Anenberg, a Miami sedation dentist. Most patients don’t sleep deeply unless they’ve been administered general anesthesia, which most dentists don’t provide.

Fort Lauderdale Cosmetic Dentists Signs Exclusive Agreement with da Vinci Studios

Smile South Florida’s top cosmetic dentist in the Fort Lauderdale and Miami area, Dr. Charles Nottingham, has maintained a close relationship with the owner of da Vinci Studios, Daniel Materdomini. Dr. Nottingham and Daniel speak regularly about maintaining the best cosmetic dental practices with da Vinci veneers. In fact, the Daniel sent his own mother to Dr. Nottingham for a full cosmetic reconstruction – and were very pleased with the results.

Fort Lauderdale Cosmetic Dentists Signs Exclusive Agreement with da Vinci Studios

In a letter to fort lauderdale dentist Dr. Nottingham, the owner of da Vinci Studios wrote: “… your preparations and impressions exceeded perfection. I had an opportunity to use many dentists in the area…but I chose you because of your experience, knowledge and the dedication you have with your patients. My Mom was thrilled with her new smile…If the ‘Extreme Makeover’ show was filmed in Florida, I am sure you would be the providing dentist.”

Da Vinci Studios offers two lines: the da Vinci line which offers fee-for-service veneers and crowns and the Leonardo line which offers veneers and crowns for PPO insurance patients. Because of the success of the da Vinci line and their faith in its durability, da Vinci studios extended the warranty on new da Vinci veneers so they are guaranteed for life. The Fort Lauderdale cosmetic dentists at Smile South Florida offer both lines.

“I have seen Dr. Nottingham transform people’s lives. Dr. Nottingham is giving South Florida something to smile about.” said, Daniel Materdomini.

This opinion is seconded by Craig Galbraith, also from da Vinci studios: “I have never seen a smile gallery as extensive as Smile South Florida’s and where the final result of every case is of such a high standard.”

The Harley Medical Group Sees A Boom For Bigger Breasts

According the Harley Medical Group in Dublin, breast augmentation is again the fastest growing sector of cosmetic surgery with a positive increase on last years enquiries of over 37%. The latest data from The Harley Medical Group accounted for 27 of all procedures undertaken by the group in the last 12 months.

A large part of this increase has been attributed to a desire by women who have just given birth to get back into their original shape, or better, as soon as possible after giving birth. Post-baby surgery currently accounts for an estimated 75% of all Breast Uplifts (mastopexy) at the Harley Medical Group and Irish attitudes have changed dramatically as women are now happy to talk about their Surgery and show off their new found confidence.

Breast augmentation is the third most common type of post-natal procedure with mums making up 60% of patients. The shape and position of breasts as well as the overall body figure can change considerably after giving birth and so many mums opt to get breast enlargements to suit their new body shape.

The Harley Medical Clinic has over 27 years experience in cosmetic surgery and prides itself on the beautiful natural results it achieves. The highly qualified surgeons are there before, during and throughout the aftercare following the procedure.

A Breast Augmentation operation is normally performed under a General Anesthetic and takes approximately 1–1.5 hours. The average cost for breast augmentation is €6,610.

Optical Express Now On Twitter

Optical Express has entered the world of social media, with the company recently launching its new Twitter accounts. Designed to better communicate with patients, customers and potential employees about the group’s current happenings and opportunities, four separate accounts have been created, each to fill a unique niche.

Optical Express Now On Twitter

Optical Express Marketing Manager Lindsay Taylor commented on the significance of this move.

“With the amount of people currently using tools like Twitter to communicate with one another, this was something that we couldn’t afford to miss out on,” she said.

According to Taylor, joining Twitter is not so much about being a part of a trend as it is about capitalising on a new communication tool that can benefit Optical Express patients, customers, and staff members.

“There is such a huge amount of information floating around on the internet related to both laser eye surgery and general eye care, and we want to be able provide a quality source of information, through our website, of course, but also through other mediums as well,” she said. “By reaching out, we hope that we can dispel any rumours, and help foster a constructive dialogue.”

The group’s corporate account can be found @OpticalExpress. This is the account that announces news updates, promotions, and competitions as they occur. As opposed to functioning as an extension of an advertisement for the organisation, it provides a stream of other news that may interest followers, including links to new articles uploaded to the “Eye Expert” informational segment of the Optical Express site, and announcements regarding the release of new designer lines of frames, for example.

@JoannaAtOEuk is designed as a point of contact for customer service enquiries, responding to Optical Express-related posts, and answering any questions. This includes everything from providing links to eye clinic locations, to connecting users with the relevant individual in the organisation to answer more clinical questions. Finally, @oeCareersUK announces job openings as they arise, enabling interested individuals to receive instant notifications when positions open up.

Holistic Healing Is Key In Bulimia Treatment

Many bulimia treatment centers offer recovery programs to their clients. But few of them devote adequate resources to the bulimia disorder recovery process. In fact, many of the most “exclusive” bulimia treatment facilities in Los Angeles provide patients with grossly inferior bulimia treatment services. As should go without saying, you can’t afford to trust your health to one of these institutions.

Holistic Healing Is Key In Bulimia Treatment

Bulimia ruins lives. Bulimia treatment can help to solve the problem, but only if it’s administered by people who know exactly what they’re doing. Those bulimia treatment facilities which employ inexperienced or unqualified therapists do an enormous disservice to patients and their families. Here’s hoping you won’t have to learn that truth the hard way.

The most successful bulimia treatment center in Malibu is also one of California’s most distinguished treatment clinics. The reason is simple: The center’s bulimia treatment specialists are leading figures in their respective fields. Their expertise has helped countless clients achieve meaningful and lasting recovery. Don’t wait any longer to include yourself among the lucky few.

The Harley Medical Group Reveals Many Voters Swayed On Looks Alone

The Harley Medical Group’s latest poll has found that many UK adults confess that a politician’s appearance influences the way they vote, and Brown comes out bottom of the pile for style.

Never before have politicians been under such scrutiny for their outward appearance as this year, with the series of public debates. Now, a new poll out by The Harley Medical Group reveals that over a quarter (26%) of people confessed that a politician’s appearance influences the way they vote, whilst a further 29% said it may sway their vote.

The Harley Medical Group’s survey of 2,000 adults also showed that the party leaders clearly aren’t getting enough sleep with respondents agreeing that all three would benefit from cosmetic surgery to remove their eyebags. However, almost three times more respondents (61%) suggested Gordon Brown should opt for the scalpel on his eye bags, with just 27% and 28% urging David Cameron and Nick Clegg respectively, to do the same.

While David Cameron and Nick Clegg are closely vying for the crown of style king, Gordon Brown’s chances of another term in power are likely to be hindered by his lack of style in the public eye, with just 12% admitting to liking his dress sense.

Liz Dale, director at the Harley Medical Group, commented, “With so little between the candidates, everything counts at this stage and the visual impression they convey is key. We all know experience carries a certain weight but today’s results show people like a youthful face, with 43% of respondents saying this is important to them. Famously when Nixon and Kennedy went head to head in their presidential debate, Kennedy’s tanned, boyish looks helped him win the day and ultimately the election, despite Nixon taking the debate.”
