Moob Tube

A new vest has been launched which promises to give men a six-pack and banish dreaded “moobs”, but wearers have been disappointed with results.

The vest has reinforced elastane panels designed to decrease breast size and tummy and side panels to reduce love handles. But men are finding the vest is not living up to expectations. Chris Rose of Wood Green, in North London tried out the vest on his 40in chest and beer belly.

He said: “My moobs and tummy are slightly better, but it feels like a wetsuit and looks ridiculous on me.”

Opening For Manselton Pharmacy

Members of the public were invited to help celebrate the re-opening of the Manselton Co-operative Pharmacy on Tuesday (24 November).

Mick Bartlett, Treasurer of Ty Olwen Hospice officially opened the re-furbished branch, where throughout the day local people were invited to take advantage of a free blood pressure check. Those with asthma were also able to get advice on how to use their inhaler correctly.

Amanda Ditchfield, Regional Development Manager, said: “These types of checks can help individuals take greater control of their health and it is important that they follow up on any advice given.

“It is also crucial that those with asthma use the correct inhaler technique to ensure that they inhale the right dose of medicine.”

In addition, visitors to the pharmacy enjoyed refreshments and were given a Co-operative Pharmacy free advice pack, goodies and money-off vouchers.

The new-look pharmacy is more spacious with a bigger dispensary and consultation room to offer patients greater privacy when using additional services at their local pharmacy. These include medicine use reviews, blood pressure testing, an asthma advice scheme and guidance on weight management.

As with all Co-operative Group businesses, customers can become members for just £1, and are then entitled to a share of profits based on their spending. Members get a point for every pound they spend in branches of The Co-operative Pharmacy, excluding prescriptions and baby milk. PhytoCeuticals has developed several formulations, including stabilized liquid L-Ascorbic Acid in 1994. The company had distributed these products through Cellex-C, SkinCeuticals and IS Clinical. PhytoCeuticals permitted these companies the use of these scientific publications, clinical trials and research citations to support the marketing of PhytoCeuticals formulations.

PhytoCeuticals terminated its relationship (July 1, 2008) with IS Clinical by Innovation Skincare (Science of Skincare Inc.). Therefore IS Clinical no longer distributes any products using PhytoCeuticals formulations.

Since the termination of the business relationship, PhytoCeuticals has received numerous requests from customers who have purchased IS Clinical products, (which do not contain PhytoCeuticals formulations) to exchange these IS Clinical products for genuine PhytoCeuticals PHYTO-C products.

Dr. Omar has stated that, “The acceptance of exchanges of IS Clinical new products for PhytoCeuticals PHYTO-C products was initially a courtesy to patients who thought they were still purchasing our formulations. It is my ethical duty to help and treat these patients – which is more important then making a profit. But we must be fair.”

Any purchaser of IS Clinical skincare products who is dissatisfied, should return these products to IS Clinical directly for refunds or substitute products. PhytoCeuticals has no responsibility and does not guarantee IS Clinical products.

The Harley Medical Group Spills The Beans On Secret Surgery

A recent, voluntary survey of 1,000 patients (800 female and 200 male patients) revealed that 15% of women keep their surgery a secret from their families, 27% from friends and 78% from their colleagues. 22% of men keep their surgery a secret from their families, 52% from friends and 94% from colleagues.

Liz Dale, Director at The Harley Medical Group, said, “The majority of our patients are honest about their surgery – at least after they’ve had it done. Many patients will keep quiet in the lead up to their surgery and intend to keep it hidden but can’t help revealing their secret when it comes to the unveiling of their new stomach or boobs. However, celebrities are a different matter altogether and if they’ve decided to keep their plastic surgery, botox or other cosmetic treatments under wraps they really keep quiet, or even outright deny it. Many patients at The Harley Medical Group have fed back to say they have a lot more respect for celebrities who are honest about having cosmetic procedures.”

Angela Fry, who had breast augmentation at The Harley Medical Group, said, “After my fourth child my boobs were left shapeless and empty. Before the op I’d decided to only discuss the surgery with my husband and parents but when friends at my gym asked me how I’d regained my figure I felt I needed to share with them. Diet Pill Risk to Health

Dieters looking for a quick fix have been warned against popping mineral pills – after researchers found they increased the risk of heart disease.

The supplement selenium has been hailed by diet gurus as the miracle solution to shifting stubborn fat. The tablets contain antioxidants which some believe can also help to cut the chances of developing cancer.

But researchers at Warwick University found that too much selenium can cause cholesterol levels to rocket.
